Apple cider | Slow cooker | Vegan-gluten free

Happy Friday my lovelies! So a while back I received a slow cooker from my parents and I have been using it for loads of recipes not only because it allows food to get a lot of flavour but if I have a day off and need to get other chores done this really makes like easier as you can pop everything in and let it take care of itself. While trying to find inspiration I came across people who makes drinks in a slow cooker and I honestly wanted to try it myself so today we are making apple cider.

What you need:
3 1/2 litre of apple juice
30g of cinnamon sticks
2 dl (0.8 cups) of sugar
2 oranges
1 lemon
1 tbsp of whole cloves
1 tbsp of whole allspice
Cut the lemon and oranges into slices and push the cloves into the skin of
the oranges. Add apple juice into a slow cooker as well as the oranges,
lemon, cinnamon sticks and allspice.
Allow to cook on low for about 6-7 hours then stir the sugar in add a pinch
of salt as this will help remove any bitterness and allow to cook for another hour.
Once done strain and serve or bottle up which I ended up doing.
