Apple pumpkins | Vegan | Halloween

Hello my lovelies! As you can tell I've gone a pumpkin frenzy, give me pumpkin shaped everything! With today's recipe I wanted to combine a flavour I very much relate to fall which are apples. I love myself an apple pie or even cake, those soft and wonderful apples covered with cinnamon sooth's my soul. I wanted to make Halloween inspired buns and I wanted to keep it simple. Let's make these adorable pumpkins.

Makes about 8-10 pumpkins.
What you need for filling:
1/2 dl (0.2 cups) sugar
25g vegan butter
2-3 sour apples
2 tbsp cinnamon
What you need for crust:
1 pack of pizza dough
Orange food colouring
Turn on the oven and preheat to 200°C (395°F)
Peel the apples and remove the apple core and then dice them up. Add 25g of butter in a pan bring up to medium heat then add the apples, cinnamon and sugar. Fry them until they soften then set aside to cool.
Now roll out the pizza dough and using a round cookie cutter we will begin
making out pumpkins. I decided to sponge on some orange food colour on the dough to get the wonderful Halloween vibe.
Scoop in some of the apple filling in the centre, not too much as we want to be able to pinch the dough together.
Next we will wrap a thread around the dough ball, creating the shape of a pumpkin.
Place them on a baking tray and bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes.
Allow the pumpkins to cool for a couple of minutes before you remove the thread.
