Candied popcorn | Vegan-gluten free | Halloween

Hello my lovelies! Of course we had to make some snacks this is after all such a celebrated holiday where candy plays a big part. I love myself a good crunch to a snack and something that I have only discovered recently it would have to be candied popcorn the whole idea of that didn't compute very well in my mind but my taste buds told me otherwise. I decided to try and make home-made candied popcorn and I want to share my take on it with all of you.

What you need:
65g popped popcorn
3 3/4 dl (1.6 cups) sugar
1 1/4 dl (0.5 cup) light syrup
1 1/4 dl (0.5 cup) 1/2 cup water
1 tsp vanilla sugar
Food colouring
In a pot add syrup, water and sugar. Cook on medium high heat for 6-8 minutes until it boils.
Reduce the heat and and allow to simmer for 20-30 minutes while stirring on occasion.
Remove the pot from the heat and stir in vanilla sugar and food colouring.
Add the popcorn into a bowl, pour in the sugar and using a spoon or gloves coat the popcorns.
Allow to cool before breaking them into pieces.
