Candy corn cookies | Halloween | Vegan
Hello my lovelies and welcome to our final recipe for Halloween! If there are candy that are incredibly popular during Halloween it would have to be candy corn, we don't have candy corn in Sweden, at least not to my knowledge. However I did want to make some candy corn inspired cookies and I'll have you know that both my loved ones and my co-workers enjoyed them.

What you need for sugar cookies
225g butter
7 dl (2.8 cups) flour
2 1/2 dl (1 cup) sugar
1 dl (0.4 cup) heavy cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
Zest of one orange
Food dye yellow and orange
Begin with adding the butter into a bowl and whisk it until it's creamy and soft.
Add the sugar, orange zest cream, heavy cream and vanilla and whisk until combined, next add the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk until it becomes a dough.
Divide the dough into 3 and colour one in the shade of orange, one yellow and the
last one should be left undyed.
Roll each dough out using a rolling-pin on a flour dusted surface and then stack
them on top one another. Since the dough will be sticky, use additional flour as
needed to not have the dough stick to the surface.
At the bottom the undyed one, next the yellow and last the orange.
Roll the dough at the long end, cut of the ends and wrap with plastic foil and pop into the fridge for 1-2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F)
Take out the dough and slice roughly 5-7 mm thick and place each cooking on a baking tray covered with a baking sheet.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 8-10 minutes.
