Everyday life | Black Bird dinner | Blog

Hello my lovelies and welcome to my Friday blog! Let's share, let's connect, let's gooo!

I recall my first visit to Black bird, I got invited to a birthday dinner by Daniel and being the sweetheart he is he had looked up a few vegan dinners and he had even tried them out beforehand and he told me what a wonderful experience he had.

So naturally when Ana at first wanted a fika date which instead turned into a dinner date because we were both quite hungry I suggested going that we venture to Black bird. I have enjoyed quite a few dining experiences there by now and Ana had not had the chance to dine here so surely the experience would be great for her.

Ana's life have been very active so we spoke about her dating life while enjoying a starter and the one I had was vegan fish with beetroot and a rice crisp. As soon as I spotted this on the menu I had to try it out. It was lovely, the fried "fish" had a nice crunch and a subtle taste of seafood. The fresh beetroot mixed with the cooked added a lovely earthy and sweet flavour.

The main dish I had was tortellini with a creamy mushroom sauce and garlic bread. Lovely earthy tones nicely complimenting the creamy sauce and that needed crunch of the bread.

For desert they had a tiramisu cheesecake and being a huge fan of both my mind had a bit of a meltdown at the idea of both of these combined. I'll have you know it was just as yummy as you could imagine. It was creamy, chocolatey and that hint of brandy was magic.

There's nothing like great food and a conversation from the heart.

If you have a chance do visit Black bird.
