Health | Doctors appointment P3 | Blog

Hello my lovelies and welcome to my Friday blog! Let's share, let's connect, let's gooo!

Eventually I received my appointment to the hospital where we would discuss what the surgery would entail. They asked a few questions to ensure that I truly stood behind my choice and they also needed me to fill in a form that states my current health and anything in the past that might have an impact on this surgery.

CONTENT WARNING

The following article contains material that may be harmful or traumatizing to some readers. Look after yourself and I'll see you on my next blog post.

After our discussion they felt reassured that I had fully come to term with my decision and then they wanted to talk about the procedure. They would place me under anaesthetic and make incisions about 1-1,5 cm wide and then fill my pubic area with carbon dioxide gas in order to see the fallopian tubes easier.

After the surgery they would empty out the gas while I slept but usually some would remain that might cause some pain on the shoulders which is common. The surgery should take no longer than 30-40 minutes but with the prep work and waking up for the anaesthetic it would be quite a few hours.

I would get about 2 stitches per incision and they would fall off on their own after a few weeks.

After I had spoken to the nurse she asked if I had time to stick around so I got to meet my doctor that is going to perform my surgery and I of course wanted to. It would be nice to get an impression of the wonderful souls that are going to help me.

After our meeting I thanked them all because they honestly made me feel so welcome and they were so informative. I felt happy with my choice and I was looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

More on that on my next blog.
