Hello my lovelies and welcome to my Friday blog! Let's share, let's connect, let's gooo!
So I waited a few months and checked my postbox each day awaiting an answer but unbeknownst to me they would actually give me a ring on my phone. I finally received the call and got the information of which date the surgery was going to be which was a Thursday the 24th and that they would send home information on what to do in preparation.

So to prepare for the surgery I needed to fetch some sponges at the pharmacy which I needed to use while showering and I needed to shower twice the day before and dry off with clean towels.

I also needed to swap out my beddings for clean ones and I shouldn't eat anything after midnight and not drink anything 2 hours before the surgery. This was about a month before the date so now there would be some more waiting. They would ring me back the day before the surgery so I would know which time I am expected to be there.
Once I received the call I needed to be there at 6.50 in the morning and I always want to make sure I am there in good time which I was and once I had checked in I was taken to my room and I was given a locker for my items and clothing to slip into.
I had to leave a urine sample to be certain there was no pregnancy waiting to happen and also I was given medication before I was moved to the next floor where they would prepare me for surgery.
They would place me under anaesthetic and while being operated on I would be tilted meaning my head would be towards the floor. Then they would make two incisions about 1-1,5 cm wide. One above the pubic bone and one below the bellybutton and then fill my pubic area with carbon dioxide gas in order to see the fallopian tubes easier.
Luckily I was none the wiser as I was happily asleep.
More on that on my next blog.
