Hello my lovelies and welcome to my Friday blog! Let's share, let's connect, let's gooo!
Let's talk about the present, I now work for a different company. If you recall my previous blog my co-worker got a new job within the same branch and she happened to reach out to me and asked if she could give her current employer my number to set up an interview and I of course said yes. It all happened so fast, he called me just moments after we set up an interview the day after and the impression I got was all positive.
I was told that would hear from them in the afternoon whether I got the job or not but funnily enough I got the call about 30 minutes after and was asked if I wanted the job and I of course said yes! I asked when I could come and sign a contract and he said that his co-worker that handles this is available now so I took the first tram available and signed my contract then I headed back and resigned at my current job. It was all very exciting

I have now been working here for 2 years and I have loved every moment of it, this workplace take their staff seriously and value them. They understand that crazy work hours isn't beneficial as we need to be able to have a private life. We even communicated my work hours and if I need time off that has never been declined and to top that off we are a very customer serviced company and by that I mean that we value the customer and want to actually help to the best of our capability. I am forever grateful for my co-worker that reached out a hand to help me.
I no longer go to my therapist and I no longer see my doctor on a regular, last we spoke we talked about reducing my medication and we did reduce it by half and he stated that if I feel like I wish to reduce it more I can of course do that but I have to do it little by little and since we spoke last I have reduced it by half once more and it's felt good and honestly is working out for me. I did check in and ask for options and guidance so I wont
do something outside of what is recommended to me by doctor.
Other than that I have celebrated being vegan for 2 years and that feels fantastic! Having Every Shade of Food has really helped to keep me motivated and is a huge factor into me finding myself in more ways than simply recovering. I used to be very much into art, drawing meant the world to me and I drew every day and along the years I lost my passion for that and as it was such a huge part of me it made me feel lost. How could it just be lost to me, I couldn't comprehend that. What I didn't realise was that my passion
was found elsewhere and as such Every Shade of Food filled that gap.
As far as it goes with my social anxiety I feel that I can manage that fairly well. I very rarely feel it kick in and take over and if it does I just have to accept that I am still recovering and that this burnout and the effects of it will always be with me, it's just a matter of how I deal with it and work on it. I can't see it as a weakness it's a result of a experience I've had and my every day is a journey to recovery.
