Pink lemon & lime lemonade | Vegan-Gluten free

Hello my lovelies! It's been such a great day, I've had a long walk in a beautiful forest to collect my thoughts as well to enjoy the weather we're having. To top it off I've had a lovely lunch and decided I wanted a refreshing drink to go along and I made myself some pink lemonade. It really does help quench the thirst a day such as this!

What you need:
5 Lemons
4 Limes
1/2 dl (0.2 cups) sugar
10 dl (4 cups) water
Beetroot powder for desired hue
Begin with adding 2 dl (0.8 cups) water into a pot along with the sugar and peel from one lemon. Simmer over medium high heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from heat and allow syrup to cool. Now in a large pitcher, combine the remaining water with the juice from three lemons, two limes and add beetroot powder until you reach the hue you desire.
Next remove the peel from the syrup and pour it into the pitcher and stir until it's combined. I love adding finely sliced lemons and limes for extra sour flavour and I prefer serving it up in my glass jar with straw as it's easy to bring around. Serve it chilled.
